Galleria in Vienna, Austria from 09 August 2004 to 10 September
2004.
Heads On Fire is currently accepting submissions of works that are
made either by or about young Californians who are a part of communities
in distress. These include, but are certainly not limited to, communities
affected by crime, poverty, gangs, racism, health crises, refugee
status, or social injustice. By selecting this theme, Heads On Fire
intends to bring to the international stage, American voices that
are rarely heard and to champion the wonderful creativity, humanity,
and ingenuity California’s youth employ to meet the challenges
they have been given.
To be considered, submissions must be received at the Heads On Fire
Studio by 29 July 2004. (How

In support of Sun Screens
v.02 presentation in this historic city, Heads On Fire is sending
a group of youth and adults to Austria to conduct groundbreaking
Service Learning Projects and trans-Atlantic youth collaboration.
The Heads On Fire delegation will engage in intercultural exchange
and in fulfilling the HOF mission of deploying technology as a means
of effecting positive social change. The planned projects, identified
with assistance from the United Nations High Commission on Refugees,
will benefit Austria's young refugees who are living without parents.
