The Research behind the drawdio

Today, everyone in the electronics team had to do research on one of the major components that we didn't fully understand that was in the drawdio's circut. I was tasked with the 555 timer. This is what I learned.

What happen on tuesday

What happen yesturday? that's a good question. Well for starters  it was so hot in so many backrounds of people where in the fab lab yesturday it was weird. so we had to get our work in go to City Heights community libary it was very fun in it wasn't soloud. So soon after me in the group walked back to the lab and , me and junior got to make our own chairs. But tomorrow i'm going to fix it up alittle work.

Structure Wheel

Today, my partner and I finished the small scale model of our structure project. There are three different projects for the structure group. My partner and I decided to make a wheel; kind of like on the show The Price Is Right. We cut out our small scale model this morning to show to everyone else. We gathered together into a circle to present our models. We gave each other suggestions on how to improve our projects so that it will work and operate better. We explained our objectives and the problems that we were having.

.Structure and Electronics Teams.

The structure team is working on some structures that show different cultures by shadows and christmas lights. The teams that need the christmas lights are going to need solar panels to light up the christmas lights at night .The solar panels are going to be provided by the electronics team. We're also going to to all the circuiting of the solar panels and the batteries. The solar panels are going to be placed in with a lattitude of 58.43 degrees to true south.

Today Shani gave the electronics team a printed circuit board (PCB) and showed us a schematic of components that needed to be put onto the board in such a way so th

Mission Trails

So last tuesday everyone went to Mission Trails. What we did was we went out and Mapped our trip around Mission Trails. What my job was to use the Magellan triton to mark way points. What ever we thought was kind of important i marked it as a waypoint.

Milling Machine: 3D Scanning.

Me and my partner Jake worked on milling machine. We tried to come up with a tutioral for people to be able to easily acess. The goal was to be able to give information to other people in different fab lab's around the world so they can use our information to get started on there project.

The Wearables Project

The Wearable’s Project, this project was based on incorporating electronics into clothing. I choose to bring in a hair clip to put light emitting diodes (LEDs) onto. Doing this definitely proved to be a challenge, it was hard trying to wire electrical thread around something that’s plastic.  It also made gluing the LEDs on unmanageable so I had to use a dremel to drill small holes into the hair clip to place the lights inside.

.Solar panel circuit ;).

Today Shani gave us some print out papers of the circuit board to get a little more involved in the solar panel system and to choose a design that would work better for the solar panels.

We had to use:

-two resistors:  An electrical device that resists the flow of an electrical current

-1 led :  light emmitting diode
