parabolic wifi project Final Beta

Today Brian and i researched furthering the parabolic ideas to extend the wifi range. We found a formula and a parabolic calculator and we scaled our results down and took them into ink scape to format correctly for the laser cutter. We also added support beams to be able to hold the structural integrity of the dish, we cut it out and assembled the dish and are currently preparing to apply it to either a wifi card with a external antenna or to a router. The uses of extending wifi signal is endless, with the correct technology and application the whole world will be able to be a communicating. This ties into the idea of working with the people!, opposed to working against the people, by incorporating this into the Laurels canyon situation it will give them the ability to have contact with people who really can help them all the time, along with causing greater communication, which can lead to a beneficial not just for them but also for humanity in general.

Today at the fab lab we tested the parabolic extender, it took a bit of modifying but in the end with the proper setup we have managed to get it to work and are furthering the ranger along with the usability, currently we can use it as a p2p for a VERY long distance APROX 300ft maybe more, with a high gain antenna receiver we will have much more strength and distance, im my opinion to day has been a complete success because this is the ending of the long ranger wifi for Mexican children project.
