The Heads on Fire Community

           In the six weeks that I have been working at the Fab Lab, I have learned many things. I have learned how to use and operate many different machines. I have learned to use the laser cutter. I have used the laser cutter to make different objects such as a keychain. I also learned how to use the vinyl cutter. The vinyl cutter makes stickers. I have made lots of stickers. Thirdly, I have learned how to solder. I helped with the making of a Drawdio by soldering the circuit board. These machines have helped to give me more experience and knowledge in machinery and technology.

            My Fab Lab experience has been a very fun one. It has provided me with new people to befriend and make bonds with. While at the Fab Lab, working together as a team is essential to the progression of projects assigned to us. We had to cooperate and compromise to make sure that all points of view were taken into account. I had fun with the projects. For example, for our wearables project I made a t-shirt with Tigger on it and then put the LEDs on the shirt. The time at the Fab Lab has also given me experience with teaching in the form of a tutorial. These are just a couple of the many different and fun projects that we have been fortunate enough to complete.
