In my experience at the fab lab. I learned alot of skills even if I haven't mastered the skills. I had never done anything with machinery in my life before. Every software and equipment was new to me. I felt like I was in different world. The one important thing I felt that I learned would be that I attained work experience. Being in highschool you really aren't exposed to much hands on work. In the future I will probally get more internship postitions in jobs that deal with electronics so that I can learn more about electronics. Fab lab open my eyes that creativity is important if you want to succeed in the workplace.
Some of the skills that I have gained are working with graphic design programs, learning how to map trails, introduction to soft circuits, preparing files for various machines in the lab, learning to identify different components on printed circuit boards. If you think it you can make it that is motto that fab lab should adopt. There is no end to what I can learn in this lab but you have to get use to how machines work and how programs work and once you know there will be no limit to what you will be able to imagine and create.
