Hi my name is Blas Vazquez I'm one of the chosen few to work at this interesting worksite the Fab Lab. My first Project was to do a Networking Tutorial: about how to install and repair a network. This experience was good for going over the skills of networking I acquired though out my high school years. Networking is my strongest point and I'm glad I've been able to fix the networking problems and maintain it functional. However, I'm also good at editing films therefore, I worked on Imovie Productions: in which I edited films that we created and also some from interviews we had with people on a expedition in Mongolia I am able to work proficiently, before I used Imovie I've created a few movies in adobe premier and movie maker that have made it to the Academy of Information Technology film Festivals in the last years. I've also had a chance to create LED gloves: we had to work on weaving our red light LEDs to our items. I was vary interested in doing this project because I had planned out in advance how I wanted it to work. I had pictured the glove to have most of the weaving concealed under the glove and the LED lights to shine when I would grip things or tighten my fist. Press fit Project: we had to work with a team of 3 people on a project that related to our community of city heights. This project coexisted on some basic concepts which where making it structurally stable and integrating different cultures into it making it engraved or cut though shapes, some of which we had a hard time figuring out how it works and why we would want it to look the way it does. This process was unique because before we all worked individually on our own ideas and prospective however, this time we where to combine ideas and make them work was a challenge all on its own. Mission trials Regional park GPS/GIS Mapping: At first we watched a short film in the theater room in order to excel in understanding how to enjoy the park and not disturb it by doing since reckless actions. Once we where all done watching the short film we went out into a gallery with the park ranger which helped us understand the dangers of the park and how to avoid them. While also explaining a plethora of information in relation to animals, people, plants, trees and job opportunity in the mission trials park. The day was one to be remembered and made me vary happy to have been chosen for this program.
