The Heads on Fire Community

Well, recently I have been working on my Somalia symbol and slowly and painfully there has been progress. I found a symbol related to Somaliland. It's an actual sign in Hargeisa near the airport there. This symbol is very important to Somali people and mostly to the ones living in Somaliland because it depicts the region's self-declared independence although it remains unrecognized by any country or international organization. I had to adjust the original picture a lot, first in Photoshop then in illustrator. That didn't really work for me so I had to start from the beginning by finding other simpler pictures that I could adjust. I found a picture of a hand and a picture of the map region (Somaliland) and tried to assemble them together in order for them to become similar to the original symbol. I succeeded with help from Esteban and other individuals. We prepared it to go on the Shop bot on Saturday August 1st with the expertise of Esteban and finally the totem pole was finished except for the part which I had to sand it and fix it in order for it to look nice and presentable.
