I am assigned to the structure group of the project and we worked on how to make press fit shapes on adobe illustrator under a limited time. Esteban was trying to teach us how to make projects under a limited time becasue the big project that we are doing has to be done in a certain amount of time. So for my project I tried to make a figure of a perosn on a rocket ship but there were too many lines on the figure and the shopbot wouldnt cut all of those lines. Esteban told me that when the shopbot come across litttle lines it just shreds them and makes a big mess so I decided to take those lines out and make a more simple figure. I then came up with a figure that looked like a perosn with its fists out. Each Press fit project had to have a press fit slot 1/8 of an inch wide and Esteban told us to make a figure with a wide base. So where I am now on that project is I am working on making the base of the figure wider so it will be able to stand up. I ran out of time doing my project and Esteban made everybody stop their projects where they were at and send them to his email. The other project that we did today is we were working on tutoroals. All of us workers at the Fab Lab were slpit into little groups and each group was to make a tuturial of different machines around the Fab Lab. I was assigned to mkae a tutorial for the vinyl cutter or the plotter. I worked with Mirian and we brainstormed on how we were going to go about the project. I decided to go through the making of a vinyl sticker and remeber the steps I took to make it to the final project and Mirian took notes on each step that I took to make a vinyl sticker. After that we took the steps and wrote them in her notebook and then we posted the steps on her wiki account. After we posted the steps on the wiki account we put pictures to go along with the stepes to make it more clear for whoever was going to read the tutorial and use it. After that Fabiola taught us about Cam studio and basically waht it is for is to make a little mini movie and we used that to make a movie of the tutorial. Once we were done with the Cam Studio tutorial we posted that on the wiki account.
