Intro
I have been working with SDSU VIZLAB and the MIT Fab Lab San Diego divition we have been working on a comunicatieon method that is equivilant to the one laptop per child project. The One Laptop Per Child computer systems are no longer readily avalible in the united states of america we are developing a alternative system. Currently we have found an affordable laptop and are utilitizing it by applying open source software for versitility along with the useability needed for some who arnt as tech saavy. So far we have established that we will be useing the linux operateing system along with basic communication applications and we may also be working towrds extending the wifi range on the laptop for the comunication that is necessary to apply in an emergency situation. Our main focus is to create a system whitch will be useful and helpful in a situation with limited infastructure
