The Heads on Fire Community

Today at fab lab we are to present our cell phone holder project to Pam a parapalegic woman. Pam has multiple scoliosis which is a disease according to the medical journal is that your immune systems attack your nervous system which means your fighting with yourself instead of an outside invader such as viruses and bacteria.  Our project started out from scratch only working with the measurments we took.

From there we created our rectangular dimesions on illustrator. We had to build a rectangle that had support angles on the bottom and sides. The rectangular box was supposed to be angled so that the woman could get a good view from her wheelchair because she has limited mobility.

Preceding from that point, we glued the acrylic pieces and we also cut rectangular holes into the face of acrylic. We are supposed to use a hose clamp to slide in the rectangular hole; where it clips onto the holes. From there we add velcro to the womans cellphone and add the velcro to the rectangular face.

In conclusion we have built what seems to be a solid piece, when the woman drops by today I hope that she will be happy with what we have built.
