On friday after i finished my two drawdios I started doing some research on solar panels. I noticed that the solar panels arent so good in a way, everything got its pro's and con's.

The pro's are that you dont have to pay for electricity,the best thing is that if you got a overload of electricity because of the solar panel,the energy company by law has to pay you for saving electricity.

However the con's are that you dont have to pay for electricity but you do have to pay for batteries.If the sun doesn't come out and the solar panel doesn't get enough energy then you have to be using up a lot of batteries and its like if you were paying for light Another con is that too much sun, rain and dirt can harm the photovoltaic cells.Also when you need to get rid of a solar panel you have to get rid of it properly,you have to recycle it  because solar panels and batteries can be very toxic to the enviroment and people.

The bright side is that the disadvantages of solar power decrease as technology evolves more.In our case in the fab lab a team working on some structures are going to show a amount of different cultures .Another team is working on the solar panels .Our goal of the entire fab lab is to arrange the structyures and the solar panels together and install them in a place where people can see the structures. We're heading towards winter so me and Fabiola looked up the best lattitude of a solar panel in San Diego city heights wich was 58.43 degrees true south because we are in the northern hemisphere.
