The Heads on Fire Community

This Tuesday July 21st, 2009 we meet at Malcom X library. Xvavier, Lemar and Katherine were there as were Junior, Korey, Zaira, Miriam and I (the usuals). Xvavier started us by talking more about one of the projects we are going to be working on which consists on researching on the community ethnic groups and finding a symbol which we can use to make into totempole . The groups we were going to be researching were Cambodia, Mexico, Somalia, and Sudan. We split up the countrys and i got Somalia. The day before this we had done a little research in the internet but didn't really find what we needed. But since we were in the library we used that to our advantage and looked for books on our country/ethnic group. I found two books but couldn't really find a simple symbol that would be good enough to trace in the computer and make a totempole with.

After this we Katherine suggested to us if we wanted to go geo-caching and we agreed because it seemed very interesting to follow the GPS system into an unknown place.
