Fab Lab Exp.

I am so glad I applied to this work at SDFF because without them I wouldn't have known about this Fab Lab close to my home, I did not think It was possible to start working at a Fab Lab with computers and different machines also this place happens to be connected to MIT. The materials and the machines used here are just a part used at works colleges and even here at the Fab Lab.

hard LCD mount...

I am currently at a stop point so far...I got the screws to go in the wall and it stood snuggly. But now its a total mess and its 1 in the morning I think I need my sleep to much thinking for one day. Right now the process looks good its the part where I need it to hang on to the other part of the hard disk drive. But it seems that it slides off and its complicated since all I have is a Vice Grip and I can only seem to bend the material so far hopefully I finish this soon.

LCD mount for cheap price? O.o!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Google Earth

This is a very late entry but I believe that this is the only blog that I a missing so far from everything I have done so far. This was an interesting project or introduction or getting to know more of the features of google earth, we had to rally point places we know.....(not done edit later)

Electronics Team/Structure MAYEM!

So apparently we are having some worries with Jakes structure.  We have been working with lights but the thig is that its inside of a rock the design it was made. Now we would have to check if they would fit inside the small crampped area of the box, we would have to create so that it would fit inside. We would have to find the lenght, the width and the height of the structure. This went by pretty smoothly...but at the same time there were head aches and a lot of thinking for this piece of the structure.

Electronics Team getting ready for Solar Pannels!

Once the whole electronics team were done with our second drawdio we were given a task to get started on our new project on Solar Pannels. I helped Fabiola today to look up some Solar Power Controllers and Fry's Electronics failed us so bad trying to look for some...since it had to be a especific one and they had greater ones but not low on Amp's. But I did try to help by writing on Yahoo answers for the question we had and where we could find it and what other stores they could have it.

DrawDio #2

So I have just finished doing my second drawdio pencil for one of my construction team mate, I wonder who will get my drawdio pencil. This was an easier pencil to do because I knew what parts went where. And it was very simple and what cut lines that I needed to do in order to make it run smoothly. But I am happy the way my second drawdio pencil turned out but I am still missing the battery holder...I wonder if we will get any more soon.

GPS!

Today early in the morning a person came to talk to us about GPS and mapping, his name is Mr. Steven Schmitdkey  from the U.S. CENSUS BUREAU and he brought several items to show us on how to track and how to read and what he does for Work and hobbie. He showed us several different compuses and several information as well on how to work the small GPS Units. It was all confusing at first but when he started to go on more into detail I understood what he was saying and how everything worked.
